Update! - Zynah covered by LBB - https://lbb.in/bangalore/zynah-designs-handloom-sarees/This is a pure modal silk ajrakh saree in beautiful blue colour with natural contrast colour hand block ajrakh print.
Saree features impressive motif block prints in the body of the saree which looks like a jaal. The pallu has conspicuous motifs designs in contrasting natural colours and it has tissue pallu. Geometrical blocks run through the length of the saree creating a smart border.
Ajrakh cloth carries many meanings. Ajrakh patterns use complex geometry to create starry constellations in indigo, madder, black, and white across lengths of cloth. The shapes and motifs of Ajrakh echo the architectural forms of Islamic architecture’s intricate jali windows and trefoil arches.
Ajrakh saree is made in a sixteen step process of washing, dyeing, printing, and drying which requires a high level of skill and concentration in order to keep colors fast and even. Pomegranate seeds, gum, Harde powder, wood, flour of Kachika, the flower of Dhavadi, alizarine, and locally cultivated Indigo are just some of the natural resources that printers in this craft.
Can be worn all around the year and gives a very beautiful drape owing to the flowy nature of Modal silk.
Best suited for: Casual wear, formal wear.
