Update! Zynah covered by LBB - https://lbb.in/bangalore/zynah-designs-handloom-sarees/
This is a pure georgette sequence saree in stunning red color combination with natural contrast color hand block ajrakh print.
The saree features glossy sequence work all over the saree. The bottom body showcases impressive and detailed floral motif block prints and the top body has polka dots with sequence work all over the saree. The pallu has huge conspicuous motifs in natural colors and its edges are finished with adorable hand knotted tassels. Decorative blocks run through the length of the saree creating a smart chevron pattern border.
Ajrakh cloth carries many meanings. Ajrakh patterns use complex geometry to create starry constellations in indigo, madder, black, and white across lengths of cloth. The shapes and motifs of Ajrakh echo the architectural forms of Islamic architecture’s intricate jali windows and trefoil arches.
Ajrakh saree is made in a sixteen-step process of washing, dyeing, printing, and drying which requires a high level of skill and concentration in order to keep colors fast and even. Pomegranate seeds, gum, Harde powder, wood, flour of Kachika, the flower of Dhavadi, alizarine, and locally cultivated Indigo are just some of the natural resources that printers in this craft.
