This is a beautiful pure kora silk banarasi saree with hand-painted Kalamkari designs and a zari weave border.

The saree features colorful and magnificent hand-painted kalamkari floral leafy vines on the body and a rich zari weave on a contrasting color border is a treat for the eyes. The giant and enchanting peacock motifs with floral vines are enriching the pallu. The pallu edges are beautified with adorable tassels. This comes with a blouse piece.

Kalamkari is a hand-painted or block-printed cotton textile produced in Isfahan, Iran, and in the Indian state of Andra Pradesh. Only natural dyes are used in Kalamkari, which involves twenty-three steps. Kalamkari specifically depicts epics such as the Ramayana or Mahabharata. In recent times, many aesthetically good figures such as musical instruments, small animals, flowers, Buddha, and a few Hindu symbols are also been introduced to Kalamkari.
